About Me
My name is Morgan, my pronouns are she/her and I am a certified personal trainer living in Edmonton, Alberta. What drew me to fitness in my own personal life was a desire to feel empowered.
6 years ago, I was in one of the deepest depressions of my life. My mental health has always been a struggle for me, and it was getting to a point where I was hitting rock bottom, where the pain was so intense that I was desperate for a way out. I was longing for meaning and purpose, to work hard at something and feel proud of myself, so I enrolled in a course at my university called Strength Training for Women. Each day I came in, a little nervous and intimidated, and each day I walked out feeling a bit more strong and confident in my body. This commitment to my health, the dedicated time I spent in my body focused on paying as much attention to my physical sensation as possible, gave me the greatest gift I have ever received:
self-confidence
Because, contrary to popular belief, confidence is not a trait some of us are born with, it’s a habit that requires continuous practice. You have to start where you are, put one foot in front of the other, and keep showing up for yourself, because no one else will. Strength training opened up a whole new world for me, and I became passionate about sharing this secret to self-confidence with as many others as possible. ⠀
